Ann Arbor, Michigan — October 23, 2019—William Boudreaux, shareholder in the Ann Arbor office of Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the country, joins Brinks shareholders from the Chicago and Durham offices in receiving the designation of 2019 Life Science Star. The recognition comes from LMG Life Sciences, the publishers of an annual guide to leading North American law firms and lawyers specializing in the life sciences industry. Boudreaux is noted in the categories of Patent Prosecution and Patent Strategy & Management and was also included on the shortlist for LMG Life Sciences’ Midwest Patent Strategy & Management Attorney of the Year.

At Brinks, Boudreaux is a Practice Leader of the firm’s Patent Prosecution Group and is a former Co-Chair of the firm’s Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry Group. He represents a broad range of biotech and pharma clients, from Global Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. His experience includes global patent portfolio creation and management, pharmaceutical life-cycle planning, and IP due diligence.  Earlier this year, he was named to the IAM Patent 1000 list, which noted his work in acquiring patent rights and advising on patent strategy. Prior to joining Brinks, Boudreaux was in-house patent counsel at Pfizer and Eli Lily, where he was primary patent counsel for several late-stage and post-launch drug products, including several blockbuster drugs.
