Mount Clemens, Mich. – May 30, 2023 – Turning Point, an agency whose mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking through comprehensive services and resources, is pleased to announce its seventh annual Survivors Golf Outing will be held again at Cracklewood Golf Club in Macomb on Friday, June 23. The event’s presenting sponsor is Grit Technologies. Turning Point President and CEO, Sharman Davenport, Ph.D., shared her enthusiasm for the event.
“This annual golf outing is a great way to bring together Turning Point supporters for a fun day while also raising funds for programs and survivors,” Davenport remarked. “We are thankful for our supporters who continue to make this event a success year after year.”
Funds raised from the outing help Turning Point continue its critical community efforts, including the emergency shelter, Transitional and Rapid Re-Housing programs, trauma advocacy and counseling, 24-hour hotline, Personal Protection Order (PPO) assistance, legal advocacy, Forensic Nurse Examiner and First Response Advocacy Program, and community education and prevention efforts.
The outing is a scramble, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11 a.m. The day will include course games and prizes, a hole-in-one contest, lunch, drink tickets, and a post-golfing steak dinner. Registration is limited and the price is $175 per individual or $600 per foursome. Sponsorships opportunities are also available. More information and registration can be found here.
