Auburn Hills, Mich. – Jan. 11, 2017 – Munetrix, a public sector solutions provider offering data analytics and transparency tools for state and local governments and public school districts, was included on the 2017 GovTech100, an annual index by Government Technology magazine that highlights the top 100 companies in the country focused on helping governments do their work more effectively to better serve their communities. Munetrix was also included on the inaugural list in 2016. The announcement of the renewed GovTech100 honor was made by Munetrix President, Bob Kittle.
“To receive the GovTech100 award for the second time is not only an honor but an inspiration to continue our efforts to use data visualization to help local governments and school districts meet their budgeting, forecasting, transparency and revenue sharing mandates,” Kittle said. “As government customers across the country gain a deeper understanding of the Munetrix platform capabilities, they are finding additional uses for our technology.”
All GovTech100 companies are focused on government as a customer, and have developed an innovative or disruptive offering to improve or transform government, or created new models for delivering services. The companies are active in one or more market segments: administrative, service delivery, smart infrastructure and civic tech. Munetrix is listed in the administrative segment. Of particular note in the Munetrix model is the Munetrix Score, an early warning financial indicator for government fiscal health, akin to a FICO® score for individuals.
Government Technology partnered with CrunchBase, a subsidiary of TechCrunch, to compile the 2017 list. The new data partnership establishes the category of GovTech permanently on CrunchBase and powers the GovTech 100 list on GovTech.com. The GovTech100 is featured in the January/February 2017 issue of Government Technology magazine and can be viewed here.
The 2017 GovTech100 recognition follows several awards received by Munetrix in 2016. Most recently, the company received the Game Changer award from the Auburn Hills (Mich.) Chamber of Commerce in December. The award is designated for the person or company changing the way business is done. Separately, Munetrix was also renewed as an approved vendor to provide data analytics and transparency tools to Michigan public school districts, authorized by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) per Section 102d of Public Act 249 of 2016. The company first received authorization by DTMB in 2015.
