Troy, Mich.— April 24, 2023—Adapt or die. That is the message Michael Stewart, co-founding member and managing partner of intellectual property law firm Fishman Stewart PLLC, is sending to the legal profession in an article published in Spring 2023 Law Practice Management, a publication of the Law Practice Management and Legal Administrators Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

Stewart’s article, “Embracing the Digital Age” (Page 7), focuses on the necessary role advancing technology can have in helping law firms tackle outside competitive pressures and enhance their connections. Through examples, Stewart demonstrates how Fishman Stewart has developed meaningful relationships using technology and digital communication platforms to differentiate from the competition, share legal expertise, and continue to be successful with both current clients and in growing new contacts.

“Consider the benefit of creating and feeding an updated communication system and then using it to develop relationships,” Stewart writes. “You might find that change is for the better, and it might not be as difficult as you feared. Moreover, you might find yourself able to do more readily what you already love doing.”
