Detroit —December 28, 2023 —DENCAP Dental Plans, a Detroit-based provider of dental insurance plans and Michigan’s largest Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO), is looking forward to even greater member and provider engagement in 2024 following the 2023 acquisition of Golden Dental Plans. DENCAP CEO Joe Lentine, Jr. is eager to see what the year ahead will bring.
“2023 was an important year for DENCAP, and we look forward to building on the year’s strategic successes in 2024 while offering our members an even larger provider network and a variety of new dental plan options,” Lentine remarked.
Some key DENCAP highlights of 2023:
- DENCAP acquired Golden Dental Plans, expanding its provider network by approximately 60 providers and presenting more flexibility and access for members.
- Following the acquisition of Golden Dental Plans, DENCAP retained nearly all former Golden providers, thanks to its reputation for establishing and maintaining solid provider relationships and keeping in regular contact with its network.
- DENCAP added additional provider locations to expand member service in Traverse City, Warren and Detroit.
- DENCAP launched the DPOS Choice 1500 plan, which has proven to be popular with agents and clients.
Following the success of the DPOS Choice 1500 plan, DENCAP will launch two additional plans in 2024: Choice 1000 and Choice 2250. These plans offer different maximums to meet the varying needs of DENCAP members.
“We look forward to continuing to serve our members in 2024 – our 40th year – and adapting our offerings as necessary to best meet their needs and those of our providers, and to respond to any meaningful changes in the dental field,” Lentine said.
