Novi/Rochester Hills, Mich.—Nov. 12, 2013 – Orthodontists Larry Spillane and Jamie Reynolds, partners in Spillane & Reynolds in Novi and Rochester Hills, are using the highly anticipated release of the Hunger Games 2 to stock local food pantries.
“We’re fighting hunger with Hunger Games 2,” said Jamie Reynolds, DDS, M.S. “Patients who bring 10 non-perishable items to one of our offices will receive a ticket to the premiere of the Hunger Games 2 movie on Nov. 20, two days before the movie is released in theaters.”
The Hunger Games 2 premiere will be held at Emagine Novi (44425 W. 12 Mile Rd., Novi 48377), with a red carpet opening at 6 p.m. and the movie beginning at 7 p.m. Drs. Spillane and Reynolds and their staff will be dressed in red carpet attire and paparazzi will be in attendance to take photos of patients as they arrive on the red carpet.
This is not the first time Spillane & Reynolds has hosted a movie premiere. The practice premiered Twilight 2 for patients in 2012 at Emagine Novi. With 475 patients/family members attending that sold out premiere, nearly 5,000 food items were collected, according to Dr. Reynolds.
“We not only strive to provide patients with a healthy bite and an amazing smile, we like to have fun and also feel a strong desire to give back,” said Dr. Reynolds. “Our teens and tween patients and their parents appreciate the opportunity to associate their orthodontic work with an event that is not just exciting, but makes a significant, immediate difference in the community as well.”
In addition to the non-perishable food items donated by patients, Thanksgiving turkeys are also being donated by Spillane & Reynolds to local food banks and churches.
