Detroit-–-April 28, 2022-–-Detroit-based labor and employment law firm, Nemeth Law, P.C., is pleased to announce Anna Kozak has joined the firm as an associate attorney. The announcement was made by Deborah Brouwer, Nemeth Law managing partner.

Immediately prior to joining Nemeth Law, Kozak worked at a Michigan employment litigation and labor law firm, where she assisted lead counsel in discovery requests, hearings, court mandated conferences, depositions and settlement negotiations. She also worked as a law clerk for the United States House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Sub-committee on Investigations and Oversight (Minority), interviewing witnesses and completing research for pending investigations for the Committee and Representatives.

“Nemeth Law is pleased to welcome Anna Kozak as the newest member of our legal team,” Brouwer said. “Drawing from her experience in the complex and shifting world of employment law, Anna will be an exceptional advocate for our clients.”

Kozak received her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2020, where she was a Provost Scholarship recipient and Levin Center Fellow.  Kozak also earned a master’s degree in American Government and Political Science from Wayne State University and a B.S. in Political Science and Psychology from Eastern Michigan University.

While attending law school, Kozak served as a legal advocate at Wayne State University Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer (LAPC), helping clients with issues related to insurance, housing, employment, life planning and public benefits. She was a CHIP (Community Homeless Interprofessional Program) Clinic volunteer and also a member of the Women’s Law Caucus.

Kozak is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and has completed mediation training.
