Rochester, Mich. – July 10, 2015 – Ewa Matuszewski, CEO of MedNetOne Health Solutions (MNOHS), a Michigan-based healthcare management organization serving the infrastructure and clinical support needs of private practice physicians and behavioral health specialists, announces Kathryn Correll, MPH and Andrew Kurecka, MPH have joined the organization. Kurecka serves as manager of outcomes research and Correll is manager of quality improvement strategy.

Both Correll and Kurecka started with MNOHS in the summer of 2014 as interns and are members of the first graduating class (May 2015) of Oakland University’s new Master of Public Health (MPH) program, where they continue to serve as members of the program’s advisory board.

“Kathryn Correll and Andrew Kurecka represent the future generation of leadership in community-based health care,” Matuszewski said. “They were educated both as interns and through their graduate program at Oakland University on the Patient-Centered Medical Home, the Institute for Healthcare Advancement’s Model for Improvement, PDSAs, outcomes-driven data and population registries and are well positioned to handle the next generation of healthcare challenges and opportunities.”

Kurecka, a resident of Rochester Hills, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences and exercise science, also from Oakland University. In his role as manager of outcomes research, Kurecka liaisons between providers and payers and is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating new policies and procedures to improve overall quality metrics and improve patient outcomes. Prior to joining MNOHS, Kurecka served as a graduate assistant performing epidemiology research in the health sciences department. As a graduate assistant, he contributed to a scholarly article that has been submitted for publication titled, A Health Profile of Iraqi Refugees in Michigan. He also interned as an exercise specialist at Botsford Center for Health Improvement in Novi.

Correll, a resident of Auburn Hills, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, also from Oakland University. In her role as manager of quality improvement strategy, Correll liaisons between providers and payers and is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating innovative policies and procedures to increase overall quality metrics, improve patient outcomes and reduce costs. Prior to joining MNOHS, Correll served as a graduate assistant at Oakland University, where she collaborated on the “Healthy Pontiac, We Can!” research initiative funded by the CDC’s Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health grant. She also worked as a physical therapy technician at North Woodward Rehabilitation in Bloomfield Hills.
