Rochester, Mich. – June 9, 2017 – Ewa Matuszewski, CEO of Rochester, Mich.-based MedNetOne Health Solutions (MedNetOne), a health care management organization offering infrastructure, clinical and technology services to more than 800 private practice physicians plus other independent care providers, was a panelist and speaker at the 2017 Connecting Michigan for Health Conference, held at the Lansing Convention Center, Lansing, Mich., on June 7–9.  Organized by Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN), the conference brings together leading voices in the healthcare community to discuss ways to work together to connect healthcare, relieve burdens and improve overall health.

Matuszewski was part of a panel discussion on June 8 that addressed “The Evolving Role of Physician Organizations.”  Compared to other states, Michigan is unique in that physician organizations have been consciously working together to consolidate and coordinate health information for large groups of physicians to improve efficiencies.  The panel will talk about how these organizations have been approaching health information sharing and how the information exchange landscape in Michigan will develop over time.

Matuszewski, who writes a monthly column called On Point with POs for Healthcare Michigan magazine, also made a presentation on June 8 about how MedNetOne went from ‘novice’ to ‘champion’ in the admissions, discharges and transfers process over the course of the last several years.
