Detroit, Mich. — Nov. 14, 2015 — The French-American Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Chapter (FACC Michigan), expressed its sorrow and shared its solidarity with the French people following yesterday’s attacks in Paris through a statement from Cedric Ballarin, FACC Michigan president and a vice president in the Michigan headquarters of France-based Faurecia.

“It is with great sorrow that the French American Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Chapter, associates itself with the mourning of all losses in Paris last night. In this tragic hour, our thoughts go to the wounded and to the families of those who lost their lives. As we reflect on Detroit and Michigan’s long history with France, we thank all of our Michigan friends, colleagues and business partners who expressed their support and compassion,” Ballarin said.

Several members of the FACC Michigan Chapter will be in attendance at tonight’s vigil at St. Anne (Ste. Anne de Détroit) Parish in Southwest Detroit, where the community is invited to pray for victims and their families. The vigil begins at 7:00 p.m. following the 5:00 p.m. mass. The church is located at 1000 St. Anne Street. For more information, click here.
