Troy, MI – March 5, 2020 —Edcor, a national provider of education benefits administration solutions, announces that CEO and owner Adrienne Way has joined the board of directors of the American Society of Employers (ASE), Michigan’s largest employer association. An industry insider on employer education practices, Way was an executive at Edcor when she was approached to purchase the company, which she did in 2010.

ASE President and CEO Mary E. Corrado welcomed Way to the board.

“Adrienne brings another CEO perspective to the ASE Board of Directors,” Corrado said. “Her strong leadership experience and her expertise in employer education and workplace benefits and trends will strengthen our board’s profile.”

With an established line of employer-focused education benefit programs, including the FREEDOM Student Loan Assistance  program designed to help employers administer employee repayment programs for their employees’ student debt, Edcor processed more than $238M in tuition assistance payments and supported more than 1.7M employees in 2018. In a 2020 white paper entitled, Student Loan Repayment Assistance Raises Diversity and Inclusion, the company addressed how student loan repayment programs, along with traditional tuition assistance, can help employers develop a more diverse workforce by creating new opportunities for women and minorities – both of whom are disproportionately impacted by student loan debt.

Way holds an MSA in Information Resource Management and a BSBA in Office Systems Administration, both from Central Michigan University.
