TROY, Mich. — October 29, 2018— Automation Alley is pleased to announce additional details about its second annual Integr8 global Industry 4.0 conference taking place in Detroit on Wednesday, November 14. The conference is focused on the eight core technologies of Industry 4.0: the Industrial Internet of Things, robotics, artificial intelligence, Big Data, cloud computing, cybersecurity, advanced materials and additive manufacturing, and modeling, simulation, visualization and immersion.

Additionally, Fraunhofer USA’s “Germany Innovates – Beyond Industry 4.0 – Life-Long Learning Careers” event will take place at Integr8 in partnership with the Fraunhofer Academy and Automation Alley. It is part of the “Year of German-American Friendship” initiative in 2018/19. The “Year of German-American Friendship“ is a comprehensive and collaborative initiative of the Federal Foreign Office, the Goethe-Institute, and with support of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), highlighting the decades-long relationship grounded in common values, interests, and goals.

Also taking place at Integr8 is the MEDC Smart Technology Expo, showcasing Industry 4.0 technologies shaping the manufacturing industry. All conference attendees will be able to engage with technologies critical to the advancement of Industry 4.0, including robots and augmented reality. A list of exhibitors and sponsors can be found here.  The Smart Technology Expo provides a hands-on experience for conference attendees that helps visualize manufacturing in the emerging smart factory era, according to Automation Alley CEO and Executive Director Tom Kelly.
