Royal Oak, Mich. —September 25, 2019— Child Safe Michigan, an affiliate of Judson Center that provides foster care, adoption and mentoring services to neglected and abused children in Southeast Michigan, will be the beneficiary when The Studio for Hair hosts its 11th annual Beauty for a Benefit event on Sunday, September 29, at its salon on at 27895 Orchard Lake Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan 48334.  From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the salon will donate all of its proceeds of the day to Child Safe Michigan.

“When we first opened our salon in 2002, we were looking for a way to do business differently, to make a difference for our guests, giving a voice for kids who don’t have a say in what happens to them,” Studio for Hair owner, Natalie Sikora said. “To date, our efforts have raised nearly $100,000 for Child Safe.”

Lenora Hardy-Foster, President and CEO of Judson Center, noted the tremendous impact the Studio for Hair has had on Child Safe Michigan for more than a decade.

“The commitment of everyone at Studio for Hair has been unwavering,” Lenora said. “With their support, we have been able to have a measurable impact on the children we serve. They truly are helping to keep children safe through their annual Benefit for Beauty program, and Child Safe Michigan is so grateful.”

There will be eight stylists available and the salon will offer haircuts, coloring and highlights as part of the fundraiser. To schedule an appointment, please call 248.324.3000. Studio for Hair is also accepting donations of new items for the Child Safe Wish Room. Needed items for infants to teens include new clothes, toys, accessories and pajamas. The items can be dropped off this week at Child Safe Michigan at 4410 West 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak or brought to the fundraiser.  Additionally, a raffle of items including team member services, art and area restaurant gift certificates, will be available this week and at the event.
