Auburn Hills, Mich. – Dec. 9, 2016 – Munetrix, a public sector solutions provider offering data analytics and transparency tools for states, municipalities and schools nationwide, announced today that the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) has named the company an approved vendor prequalified to provide data analytics tools to Michigan public school districts. It is the second consecutive year Munetrix has been named an approved vendor by DTMB. The announcement was made by Munetrix President Bob Kittle.

“Munetrix has more than 200 Michigan school district customers who actively use the Munetrix platform and comprehensive database for short and long-term planning, budgeting and financial transparency,” Kittle said. “School districts across the state have really come to appreciate Munetrix’s ease of use and responsive customer-focused team with deep knowledge of school district finances and student academic achievement results.”

Specific Munetrix tools available to Michigan school districts go beyond data analysis and transparency and include time-saving apps for debt management, emergency drill management and scheduling, facilities and even a capital project planning and prioritization application.

Mich. Gov. Rick Snyder approved a line-item of $1.5m in the 2016-2017 school aid budget for Michigan school districts to subsidize the cost of software licensing fees for data analytic tools. This is the second year the categorical appropriation has been approved.

“The continuing reimbursement option affirms the state’s findings that analytical tools such as those provided by Munetrix are valuable for providing business intelligence and budget modeling software to help create a clear view of a school district’s fiscal health,” Kittle said.

Separately, Munetrix also announced it has received “Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products for 2016” recognition from District Administration magazine, which is geared to leaders in K-12 education. It is the second consecutive year Munetrix has been recognized by District Administration readers for providing a top product.
