Rochester, Mich. – Nov. 30, 2015 – MedNetOne Health Solutions (MNOHS), a health care management organization offering infrastructure, clinical and technology services to independent physician practices and other independent care providers, has received the Diabetes Educators Accreditation from the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) for its Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) programs. This is a continuation of the accreditation MNOHS first received in 2010.

The Diabetes Education Accreditation Program (DEAP) is valid for four years. Through DEAP, the AADE aims to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional diabetes education, management and support. MedNetOne Health Solutions is one of only a handful of organizations in Michigan to have obtained both American Association of Diabetes Educators DEAP and American Diabetes Association (ADA) certifications.

The majority of MNOHS’ diabetes education is offered through the organization’s Community Care Travel Team (CCTT). Launched nearly 10 years ago, the CCTT is a multi-disciplinary health care team comprised of a registered nurse, certified diabetes educator (CDE), registered dietitian, lifestyle coach, behavioral health specialist and exercise specialist that brings its combined expertise to individuals at primary care physician’s offices, the worksite and educational/community centers to evaluate, provide coaching, and help reduce the risk of complications from chronic conditions including diabetes, asthma, coronary heart disease and pediatric, adolescent and adult obesity.

“We believe a healthy lifestyle and self-management education are the best tools to prevent diabetes and lower the risk of complications,” Al Juocys, D.O., Chief Medical Officer of MNOHS said. “It is a priority for MedNetOne Health Solutions to ensure that our diabetes education efforts bring the highest level of learning and comprehension to our patients.”
