ANN ARBOR – Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., announces four attorneys from the Ann Arbor office are among 14 Brinks attorneys selected by Managing Intellectual Property magazine to appear in its second edition of IP Stars for 2014.

Ann Arbor office managing partner Steven L. Oberholtzer, along with shareholders Lawrence G. (L.G.) Almeda and Eric Sosenko and associate attorney Joshua E. Ney, Ph.D. were all included on the list. Additionally, IP Stars designated Brinks’ Michigan offices (Ann Arbor and Detroit) as “Highly Recommended” and recognized the firm as a whole for its work in the Copyright, Patent Contentious, Patent Prosecution, Trademark Contentious, and Trademark Prosecution categories. The publication noted Brinks’ strong reputation for expertise in litigation, patent prosecution and licensing, and called out its well-known trademark practice, which covers both enforcement and non-contentious work involving search and clearance, prosecution and licensing.

The Brinks team includes attorneys, scientific advisors, and patent agents who hold advanced degrees in all fields of technology and science, and provide expertise in all aspects of patent, trademark, unfair competition, trade secret and copyright law.

Managing Intellectual Property conducted over 1,000 interviews and surveys with industry clients and peers to identify its list of the leading IP attorneys in the United States, and to provide insight into the complex U.S. IP legal market for in-house counsel at Fortune 500 companies.

IP Stars is distributed to Managing Intellectual Property’s 11,800 international readers as a one-stop reference guide for in-house counsel and private-practice lawyers.
