Auburn Hills, Mich. – Jan. 23, 2017 – Munetrix, a public sector solutions provider offering data analytics and transparency tools for state and local governments and public school districts, announced that William “Bill” Hamilton, Ed.D., has joined the company in the new role of Senior Education Consultant for its school business segment as the company continues to round out its advisory team. The announcement was made by Munetrix President, Bob Kittle.

“Bill Hamilton is a respected educator, consultant and former superintendent who brings more than 40 years of administrative, teaching and tech knowledge to the Munetrix team. As we continue to build on our leadership position in analytics, planning and financial management, Bill helps us round out the student achievement component.” Kittle said. “The business of K-12 education is about student learning and by adding Bill to the team, we are increasing our overall depth of understanding in monitoring student achievement. This is especially important considering the myriad of student assessment software programs whose data doesn’t correlate well with state assessment data. Our intent is to solve that issue for our school district customers using Bill’s expertise in academics and our deep knowledge of relational database technology.”

Hamilton served as Superintendent of Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, the largest school district in Oakland County, Mich., from 2005 to 2010 and as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, also at Walled Lake, from 1993 to 2005. During his K-12 career, which began as a junior high school English and Social Studies teacher, Hamilton introduced a variety of technologies to the learning environment and was directly involved with vocational training programs and career placement. His honors include the Tech Savvy Superintendent award from eSchool News in 2008, and Outstanding Superintendent Communicator award in 2007 from the Michigan School Public Relations Association.

As an educational consultant in recent years, Hamilton’s projects include leading a learning turnaround for a failing Oakland County high school, mentoring new superintendents and serving in a consulting capacity for the education law firm, Lusk Albertson, PLLC. He holds a B.S. in Education, English and Social Studies, a M.Ed. in Educational Administration and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, all from Wayne State University.

In December 2016, Munetrix received the Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products for 2016 recognition for the second consecutive year from District Administration magazine, which is geared to leaders in K-12 education.
