TROY, Mich.— March 9, 2018 —Automation Alley, Michigan’s leading technology and manufacturing business association, has been invited by the Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs and the U.S.- U.A.E. Business Council to host an information session at Automation Alley on March 14, 2018 regarding opportunities to participate in the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Expo 2020, taking place from October 2020 to April 2021, will be the first expo (similar to a world’s fair) ever held in the Middle East. During its six month run, it is expected to attract 25 million visitors, including 7 million to the USA Pavilion. The theme of Expo 2020 is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” with sub-themes of opportunity, mobility and sustainability.

The info session is designed to generate awareness among the financial, commercial, arts, higher education and philanthropic communities about participating in a USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai and discuss opportunities for the United States to host future expos.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m.; the session will begin at 9:00 a.m. with an overview of the Expo, a focus on the expertise that Detroit and its international region bring can bring to the Expo and details on the Expo 2020 USA Pavilion Request for Proposal. Designated networking time follows the Q and A session. The event concludes at 10:30 a.m.
