Rochester, Mich. — May 25, 2016 – Rochester Rotary, a member club of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, announces it donated $1,000 each to two longstanding Rochester-area charities at its May 10 meeting.

Recipients of the donations were The Paint Creek Center for the Arts and Leader Dogs for the Blind. Tami Salisbury, Executive Director of Paint Creek Center for the Arts, and Patrick Bake, a Rochester Rotarian and staff member at Leader Dogs, were both present at the meeting to accept the awards. Cary Riggs, President of Rochester Rotary Charities, commended both organizations for their impact on the community and beyond.

“With unwavering community support and strong organizational leadership, Leader Dogs for the Blind has established a global reputation for improving the quality of life for the visually impaired,” Riggs said. “Closer to home, the Paint Creek Center for the Arts enhances the quality of life for Rochester area residents and visitors through art classes, gallery events and, most notably, its primary fundraiser and community arts celebration, the Arts and Apples Festival. Rochester Rotary Charities is pleased to support both organizations through these donations.”
