Auburn Hills, Mich. – Jan. 21, 2016 – Michigan-based Munetrix, a data aggregator offering a comprehensive suite of reporting, management and forecasting tools designed to meet the financial management and transparency needs of states, municipalities and schools, has been included on the inaugural list of GovTech100, a new annual index by the Government Technology magazine of companies that highlights the top 100 companies in the country making a difference in state and local government markets. The announcement of the GovTech100 listing was made by Munetrix President, Bob Kittle.
“Landing on the GovTech100 list is a great honor and validation of the new approach Munetrix offers local governments and school districts to meet their budgeting, forecasting and transparency mandates using data visualization,” Kittle said. “When we first started Munetrix in 2010, naysayers said government accounting couldn’t be standardized because various units of government counted their money differently. Munetrix countered that by creating a standard protocol for local government financial reporting and management that offers comparability within a state or across the country, is simple to use and highly-intuitive for the layperson.”
All GovTech100 companies are focused on government as a customer, and have developed an innovative or disruptive offering to improve or transform government, or created new models for delivering services. The companies are active in one or more market segments: administrative, service delivery, intelligent infrastructure and civic tech focus areas. Munetrix, now a pre-qualified State of Michigan vendor for public schools, is listed in the administrative segment. Of particular note in the Munetrix model is the Munetrix Score, an early warning financial indicator for government fiscal health, akin to a FICO® score for individuals.
The GovTech100 is featured in the January/February 2016 issue of Government Technology magazine and included in a companion interactive listing on govtech.com. The entire GovTech100 list can be viewed here.
