Rochester, Mich. —Nov. 19, 2015 – Rochester Rotary, a member club of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business, professional and community leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, was pleased to present a check for $10,000 to Kathy Losinski, Executive Director of the Rochester Area Neighborhood House, at the Nov. 17 Rochester Rotary meeting.

Rochester Area Neighborhood House is a nonprofit human service organization founded in 1968 by local faith communities to assist neighbors during times of hardship. The organization partners with the community and other social service providers to help neighbors in need move toward self-sufficiency. Cary Riggs, Rochester Rotary Charities president, said the donation is part of Rotary’s ongoing commitment to Rochester Area Neighborhood House.

“Rochester Rotary is happy to support the ongoing outreach efforts of Rochester Area Neighborhood House,” Riggs said. “Historically, Rochester Rotary Charities, the charitable giving arm of Rochester Rotary, has given $5,000 a year to Rochester Area Neighborhood House. This year we decided to continue the $5,000 donation while making an additional pledge of $5,000 annually for the next three years to offset some of the costs of refurbishing the recently purchased Rochester Area Neighborhood House building on Livernois in Rochester Hills.”
