Rochester, Mich. —Oct. 15, 2015 – Rochester Rotary, a member club of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, announces its annual poinsettia sale is underway. All proceeds are distributed to numerous charities while celebrating the upcoming holiday season.

“Poinsettia sales are a great way to kick off the holidays,” Alan McLellan, Rochester Rotary president, said. “They help those less fortunate while spreading holiday cheer and furthering our mission of service above self. We sold 1,905 poinsettias in 2014 and hope to hit the 2,000 mark this year to provide additional support to the many worthwhile charities served by Rotary.”

The Rochester Rotary Club is selling the poinsettias between now and Tuesday, Nov. 10. The 6 ½” poinsettias are available in white, pink and red for $15 each and, for the first time, 7 ½” red poinsettias are available for $25. The poinsettias are provided to Rotary at a reduced rate by Bordine’s, which also provides assistance on pick up and delivery.

All proceeds from the sale benefit special programs for the local community and other charitable projects throughout the world. Orders of 15 poinsettias or more will be delivered to the individual’s home or office on Wednesday, Dec. 2 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.; poinsettia orders of less than 15 will be available for pick up on Thursday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bordine’s, 1835 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester Hills.

To purchase poinsettias, contact Mary Grace McCarter at mgmccarter@rainbowconnection.org or 248.601.9474.
