Avondale Middle School principal named 2014-2015 Administrator of the Year by the Michigan Association of Middle School Educators

Auburn Hills, Mich. —April 14, 2015—- Avondale School District, an achievement-oriented learning community focused on student leadership and success in academics, the arts and athletics, announces Todd Robinson, principal of Avondale Middle School, has been named the 2014-2015 Administrator of the Year by the Michigan Association of Middle School Educators (MAMSE). The announcement was made by Dr. Jim Schwarz, superintendent of Avondale School District.

“Todd is a born leader whose enthusiasm and dedication to leading teachers and staff in their pursuit of educating our middle school students is unparalleled,” Dr. Schwarz said. “We are privileged to have Todd as part of the Avondale Community and congratulate him on receiving the Administrator of the Year award.”

The MAMSE Board of Directors selects the Administrator of the Year based on the individual’s advocacy for service to middle level education and young adolescents, leadership in furthering middle school philosophy/principles and other significant accomplishments in the middle school field.

Robinson’s announcement as Administrator of the Year follows the March 31 announcement of Avondale Middle School teacher, Shavonne “Shevy” Jacobson being named the middle school Outstanding Teacher of the Year by Oakland Schools and the Oakland Schools Education Foundation.
