Auburn Hills, MI —August 27, 2013—-Avondale School District, an achievement-oriented learning community focused on student leadership and success in academics, the arts and athletics, announced that Sean Fisher has been named an assistant principal at Avondale High School.

Dr. Heitsch also announced the appointment of Mrs. Marsha Wharton as Student Achievement Specialist/Middle School Support Administrator at Avondale Middle School, replacing Mrs. Arryn Schneider, who was recently appointed principal at Woodland Elementary. In related news, Dr. Heitsch noted that Todd Robinson, Principal of Avondale Middle School, will assume additional district-wide responsibilities as Chair of the District Continuous Improvement Team.

“Todd’s additional role is critical for the district as we prepare for a February 2014 on-site visit from the AdvancED organization to recertify the district’s status as system accredited. We are grateful to Todd for taking on these additional duties,” said Dr. Heitsch.
